Meet Mr Raong! [MR Raong is the local toungue for Kodok in Sarawak] My most elusive neighbour and friend. He stays inside our sewage pipe during most of the dry seasons and are always active throughout the rainy day.
...the last two - three days Mr Raong is very noisy. Making symphonic orchestra with his friends every time there's a decent amount of shower.
Recently he's been active dusk until dawn. There are rain and thunderstorm almost around 4.PM and can last until the next morning. Every time i went back from work i can see him perching on our stone gate. The same place when we first met 5 ears ago.
As much as i am happy to see him when the monsoon seasons arrived i can't stopped being worried about his safety, croaking happily and exposing himself to snakes and other harmful predators. Cars also posses as a threat to Mr Raong as he happily hops across streets to meet some other froggy friends of his.
Sometimes i would spend a minute or two getting wet chasing and catching after Mr Raong. Pat him on the head rubbing his leathery bobbing throat before letting him go.
Hahaha...such kid like behaviour.
Good Night Mr Raong!
